Shilpa Shetty and Kusha Kapila joined our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, on this fun-filled and cannot-control-laughter episode of Sunday Brunch. They star together in a film, Sukhee, which focuses on an Indian mother and her life. In one part of the video, they discuss how being a mother is the most thankless job due to all the responsibilities that come with this tag. They elaborate more, so scroll on.
Shilpa Shetty Said That Being A Mother Is The Most Thankless Job
We were discussing their new movie together, Sukhee, when Kamiya pointed out that as an average Indian woman, there is a constant juggling of multiple jobs. She continued that even in Indian families, despite doing everything, there will be someone to point out things that were not done right or skipped. A similar portrayal is shown in the film.
Kamiya also clarified that the character of Shilpa Shetty only feels liberated when she is out and about with her childhood friends. This means no responsibilities, being out of the house, not taking part in motherly duties and not even thinking about them at all. To this, Shilpa Shetty added that mothers in general are made to feel bad if they need to take a break from their motherly job.
Shilpa Shetty said that there is an unfounded notion ingrained in everyone’s mind that being a mother automatically comes with a basket full of duties. She has to perform those duties no matter what and cannot pass these duties to someone else. Shilpa also said, “It’s the most thankless job, I think, to be a mother” and both Kusha Kapila and Kamiya agreed to it. Go and thank your mother and give her a tight hug!
Her Kids’ WhatsApp Groups Take A Toll On Her
Shilpa Shetty has two kids with her husband, Raj Kundra. Even though she loves being a mom and thinks that it is the most thankless job, she is sick and tired of her kids’ WhatsApp group. Those countless unread chats from numerous groups leave her irritated. She told us that there are new Whatsapp groups for every activity her kids are a part of be it football, gymnastics, and other activities.
On top of these nagging messages, she has to look at twice the number of messages as she is the mother of two. Shilpa has to keep a tab on all these while being on shoots as well. Being a mother is truly a thankless job where you are juggling numerous tasks together. When Kamiya asked Shilpa if she participated in those WhatsApp chats, she informed us that those constant messages boiled her blood.
Comment down below if you are a part of any of the annoying WhatsApp groups that make you want to exit it but you really can’t. What is the name of that WhatsApp group?
