The Sind Punjab Story

The restaurant was launched in 1977, by late Harban Singh, who previously owned a meat shop in Dubai. When it opened, Sind Punjab was the only restaurant to serve authentic Mughlai food. In no time, the eatery shot to fame and had foodies flocking back for its butter chicken, dal makhani, pani puri, kulfi, falooda and many other dishes. After Harban’s in 1991, his nephew Guruwinder Singh and other members of the Singh family have kept the business alive.

Besides, back then, Sind Punjab was the only restaurant that was open until 3:00 am, satiating mid-night cravings to the expats in Bur Dubai.
