Travelling amid this pandemic is not as hunky-dory as it sounds. While flights have resumed, we aren’t really comfortable sitting in an aircraft yet. Well, as well as missing the stunning views from the sky, we also have a bunch of people who miss flight food. And if you are missing the airline food too much, then Singapore Airline has got you covered! The airline has transformed one of its superjumbo aircrafts into a restaurant that serves in-flight food. Recently, Thai Airways Opens Airline-Themed Restaurant In Bangkok For Those Who Miss In-Flight Meals.

Singapore Airlines Opens A Restaurant In An Airbus A380

Singapore Airlines’ superjumbo aircraft A380 has been transformed into a restaurant to satiate the physical and emotional appetites of avid travellers. Diners can book a seat and enjoy a meal on the superjumbo while it remains parked at Changi Airport. The pop restaurant will be held on 24 and 25 October. The airline has not specified how much this unique meal will cost. Tickets will go on sale at the airline’s online KrisShop website on October 12 and customers will also be able to choose their cabin class.

On the menu, foodies can gorge on some of the signature dishes from the Airline’s menus well as favourites from the carefully-crafted menu by Singaporean chef Shermay Lee. There’ll also be two complimentary alcoholic drinks and a free flow of other beverages.

To make the experience more memorable, the airline staff will be wearing cabin crew uniforms. In addition, diners are also encourage to show up in traditional attire-ranging from sarges to sarongs or a kilt. Those who make an effort will also receive additional gifts from the airline.

Before the meal, diners also also invited for a tour around the A380, where you can witness some of the areas which are otherwise not open to passengers. Lastly, you’ll be able to watch the inflight entertainment channels during your meal.

Enjoy SIA’s Finest Catering From The Comfort Of Your Home

In addition to the airline’s themed restaurant, you can also enjoy SIA’s finest cuisine from the comfort of your own home. Starting 5 October, Singapore Airlines will deliver a meal for two right to the home of Singapore residents. The meal is complete with wine and champagne. And in case you want some luxury, you can opt for the business class experience, complete with exclusive SIA tableware.

Lastly, the airline also has a ‘Discover your Singapore Airlines’ experience, where you can get a sneak peek into the airline’s training center. Participants will get an insight into the airline’s history, how the cabin crew are trained, and more. There’s even a flight simulator experience, wine tasting, and a makeup session on how to get the Singapore girl look.
