These 5 Indian Names Rank Among Top 50 Bars In Asia

The list of Asia’s 50 best bars for 2022 is out. The title of the best bar in Asia was given to Hong Kong’s Coa. It is curated by over 220 Asia-based bartenders, bar owners, drinks writers, and cocktail enthusiasts and recognizes the exemplary skills, creativity, and passion of bartenders throughout Asia. The list also included five bars in India, helmed by expert bartenders and offering a wide range of beverages. These establishments showcase the best of the country’s drinking scene. 

1. Tesouro By Firefly, Goa

Crowned as the best bar in India in 2021, this bar grabbed 4th rank in the list of top 50 bars in Asia. This bustling bar amidst the tranquillity of South Goa has an outstanding menu curated by Arijit Bose who has gathered expertise by working at top bars in Singapore and New Delhi. Though the space has not even completed 2 years, the drinks here are some of the best creations.

2. Sidecar, Delhi 

Known for its in-house extractions and infusions, Sidecar offers everything from classic old fashioned to the diverse Dilli-6 on its extensive drinks menu. The bar is piloted by Yangdup Lama, a very famous bartender and ranked 14th on the list. Sidecar is a drink named after them and is believed to have six variations with a twist on cocktails made with gin and whiskey.

3. Hoots, Delhi 

Hoots ranked 26th on the list. This cosy, relaxed bar in Delhi, which is known for its welcoming atmosphere, jumped 33 places over last year. Classic cocktails like the old fashioned with miso and whiskey sour with chamomile foam are on the menu. Their scotch creations are particularly noteworthy.

4. Home, Delhi 

Home ranked 30th on the list and is a new entrant. It is a modern Indian, European, and Japanese cocktail bar. There is a menu inspired by the solar system, with choices inspired by elegant concoctions from pre-prohibition times. Additionally, the bar offers membership programs that cater to entrepreneurs, artists, thinkers, and innovators.

5. Copitas, Bengaluru

In the prestigious Top 50 list, this elegant bar in Four Seasons Bangalore takes 44th place for its artisanal cocktails and vibrant energy. The menu features seasonal, classic, and eclectic blends, as well as four unique gin and tonics. The bourbon, rum, vodka, and tequila beverages produced by this company are just as popular.
