These Delhi Hotels Are Helping Those In Need With Free Food, Accommodation And More

At the hour of emergency, humanity speaks louder than profits. This is what these luxury resorts in Delhi are proving right now. Top hotel chains in the Capital like The Leela, Accor, Roseate Hotels And Resorts, ITC Hotels and The Lalit Hotels, Palaces & Resorts are making special efforts to provide assistance amid the crisis to the ones in need. Here’s how they are helping during this unfortunate phase.

1. The Leela

The Leela Palace, Delhi is providing ‘care packages’ to poor families, by teaming up with local authorities. These packages include fundamental needs like food and hygiene products. The luxury hotel has already distributed them to about 200 underprivileged families. The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel has arranged shelter and related services for more than 70 doctors who are working at the Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, Shahdara.

2. Accor

Hotels in Delhi that come under this group are Novotel New Delhi Aerocity, Pullman New Delhi Aerocity and ibis New Delhi Aerocity. While the first two have donated food to the poor, the third one has been turned into a quarantine centre for Indians who have returned from foreign countries.

3. Roseate Hotels And Resorts

Roseate House, New Delhi has started a community kitchen to feed more than 1000 people every day. It is doing the good deed in collaboration with Dwarka District Force and Confederation, under the Relief and Rehabilitation initiative. The team is taking proper precautions with masks and gloves to offer daily meals to the needy, that essentially comprise dal and rice.

4. ITC Hotels

The group is supporting both the central and state governments to fight the battle against the deadly coronavirus.  ITC Maurya, Chanakyapuri and Sheraton, Saket District Centre have been contributing over 1,500 meals on a daily basis to various migrant workers who have been stranded in the city amid lockdown.

5. The Lalit Hotels, Palaces & Resorts

Health workers on duty at Lok Nayak Hospital and GB Pant Hospital have been housed at Hotel Lalit, Barakhamba Road. The hospitality group has informed that it is also ensuring proper sanitization and health checkup for the staff. What’s more, it has arranged food and other fundamental needs for the transgenders as well.
