These Rooh Afza Popsicles Are A Perfect Way To Ditch The Summer Heat In Style

This year, the summer season has been nothing but brutal. Heatwaves and the scorching sun only left us wriggling in the pathetic summer heat. And all we received in our daily shot of news was how the temperatures have risen in the Indian cities like never before. But, on the other hand, the food enthusiasts emerged on the internet with delightful ways to beat the heat and offered respite to the users with recipes for cool desserts, smoothies, ice cream, drinks and shakes!

Enjoy The Classic Rooh Afza As Popsicles

The internet is undoubtedly filled with unique recipes, and amongst them, we found a special recipe by Chef Ranveer Brar for creating Rooh Afza popsicles. Chef Brar took to his official Instagram account to share a recipe for Roof Afza popsicles and pudding. And, we can swear by this recipe.

The Ultimate Combinations With Rooh Afza

To prepare these delectable desserts you’ll definitely need these basic ingredients – Roof Afza, milk, frozen banana, custard, cornstarch, strawberry, and the rest can be easily found in your kitchen.

First, in a sauce pot, add milk and let it boil. In a bowl, add cornstarch, rooh afza syrup, water and mix it well. Once the milk comes to a boil add the cornstarch mixture in it and mix well to make sure there are no lumps.

Now, Add some more rooh afza syrup and mix it well. Remove from the flame and divide it into two separate bowls.

For Popsicles

  • In the same bowl add frozen banana and blend it well. Once again, add the rooh afza syrup, basil seeds and mix it well.
  • Take your popsicle moulds and add some rooh afza. Now, pour the prepared mixture into them.
  • Seal it with the lid and place it in the deep freezer to set for (5-6 hours or till set)
  • Serve them chilled and garnish with some fresh mint sprig and fresh strawberry slice.

For Pudding

  • Take a blender jar, add bread slices, rooh afza syrup, prepared rooh afza custard and blend it.
  • Now, take any ceramic or tin mould spread some rooh afza in it and pour the batter into it.
  • Place it in a steamer and steam it for 15-20 minutes on low flame.
  • Cool completely and refrigerate for 5-6 hours or until it sets completely.
  • Finally, de-mould, garnish it with rooh afza syrup, fresh mint leaves and strawberry slices.
  • Serve chilled and enjoy your pudding
