What Is Chef Vikas Khanna’s Proudest Achievement?

At the end of this episode, Vikas revealed to us that the greatest job he ever undertook was, as he said, “creating a museum that people don’t know. I feel like that is one of my biggest achievements!” Do you have any clue about what he spoke about? Well, back in 2018, he inaugurated the ‘Museum of Culinary Arts’ at Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal.

It showcases the rich culinary heritage of India with more than 10,000 utensils displayed from all over our country, starting from the ancient utensils from the tip of Jammu and Kashmir to Tamil Nadu. It is the first museum of this kind in the culinary world at this prestigious institute, which also happens to be his college. He disclosed that this is his legacy and one of his best contributions to the food industry. We could see he was beaming with pride as he talked about his museum!

Is The Indian Version Of Fresh Sriracha?

Chef Vikas Khanna

While we talked about Maharashtrian cuisine, he told us that he absolutely loves to indulge in this delectable and flavourful cuisine. One particular dish he mentioned was thecha, a condiment made of lots of green chilies and garlic. Kamiya was taken aback as, according to her, it is extremely spicy.

Vikas replied to this, “Think of it as fresh sriracha, yehi huya na thecha.” This made Kamiya chuckle and say that he made thecha sound incredibly fancy and now people would try this Maharashtrian condiment. Have you ever tried it?
