Nurlan Zhalgasbayev, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan announced that Indians can enjoy a 14-day visa-free holiday in the Central Asian country. Zhalgasbayev made a series of announcements to boost travel in Kazakhstan during the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of India-Kazakhstan diplomatic relations at Mumbai’s Raj Bhavan.

Zhalgasbayev stated that Kazakhstan is mulling over launching a full-fledged consulate in Mumbai. He also spoke about boosting air connectivity between India and the two most prominent cities in Kazakhstan, Astana and Almaty. Astana, also known as Nur-Sultan, is the capital city of Kazakhstan. Almaty is the largest city in the nation.

Travel To The Dunes And Canyons Of Kazakhstan

By flight, Kazakhstan is just around four hours away from India. An easy-to-reach international destination from India, Kazakhstan is home to stunning cities and natural features like dunes and canyons. The Altyn Emel National Park in the country is home to spectacular singing dunes.

Other must-visit places in Kazakhstan include Medeo High-Mountain Skating Rink, Kolsai Lakes, the National Museum of Kazakhstan, Pyramid of Peace and Sharyn Canyon. Some prominent cities in the nation include Almaty, Astana, Shymkent, Taraz, Aktou and Pavlodar. The nation is also home to an abandoned film set known as Nomad’s Land.

Kazakhstan Is Taking Steps To Boost Tourism

Zhalgasbayev talked about the geographical similarities between India and Kazakhstan. The terrains of the nations can allure tourists and filmmakers from India. According to a Deccan Herald report, Zhalgasbayev also stated that Kassym Jomart Tokayev, the President of Kazakhstan, will come to India next year. The nation is now taking steps to promote tourism and draw in more Indian tourists to its iconic landmarks.
