Well, this time, companies in the United Kingdom are gearing up for a whole new initiative, “a 4-day work week”. A total of a hundred companies have already signed up for this new change in their years-old approach in the working field.

Employees will not only enjoy a 4-day work week but also get the exact salary as before. Just because they are coming down to 4 working days, they are not changing their salary.

Employers are keeping the salary totally the same without any cuts or losses. With this revolutionary initiative, these companies are aiming to transform the work pattern and the country’s approach towards the work culture.

According to a report by The Guardian, employees believe that the introduction of the 4-day work week can boost productivity and meet deadlines sooner. Also, they believe that this new pattern can also help in adapting to a fast work pace.

Companies Participating In This Shift

Among the ton of companies signing up for this change, the biggest names are Atom Bank and Awin. They have about 400-500 employees working for them in the country. Interestingly, these two companies have tried out a 4-day work week and they even found great results. According to a report by NDTV, they decreased the work hours of the employees.

Working 4 days a week can prove to be beneficial for every employee’s personal life but also for the company’s productivity. With more free days in hand, employees can often go on vacations or explore nearby places in these 3 days.
