India has a thriving street food scene, especially in the capital, Delhi. So, it’s not uncommon to spot food bloggers from across the world documenting their food experiences in Delhi. Similarly, a US food blogger recently shared a video of him sampling Vijay Hot Dog. But the highlight of his video was his interaction with a Delhi student and this will surely win your heart.
US Blogger, Chris Visits Vijay Hot Dog In Delhi
Chris, a YouTuber from the US runs the Desi Chris channel. On this YouTube channel, Chris documents his food journey across the India, especially trying out delicious street food. In one of the latest videos, Chris finds himself at Vijay Hot Dogs. As he waits by the cart for his paneer hot dog, talking to the vendor in impressive Hindi, he meets an Indian student.
Dressed in his school uniform the boy is polite and makes good conversation. Chris asks the young lad if he has tried these hot dogs before, but the boy politely replies that it’s his first time too. So, the US food blogger offers to pay for his veg hot dog. He tells him that it’s his treat and asks him what he’d like to eat.

He Offers To Pay For Indian Student’s Food; Here’s What Happens Next!
The boy replies that he’d like a hot dog, with a calm reassuring smile. But goes on to tell Chris that he’d like to pay. Chris still tells him that he’d like to pay for him and he should continue to study hard. The vendors at Vijay Hot Dog prepare Chris’s order, a Cheese Paneer Hot Dog for ₹100 and also the student’s hot dog order.

Later Chris and the Indian student stand together and enjoy their hot dogs. The US food blogger even asks him to help him rate the place. The young boy says that it’s good even though he ordered a normal hot dog. Later the boy wanted Chris to tell him how much hot dogs cost in the US. Chris tells him it would cost around $5 or ₹700 approximately.
Later, the 16-year-old boy pays for his own hot dog, much to the surprise of Chris. He thanked Chris for the offer and told him that was his way. The video amassed around 1.4 million views, many praised the young boy’s soft-spoken, well-mannered nature. And blessed him for being a beautiful representation of India.
