Additionally, they will cover global economy topics like enhancing the ability of multilateral development banks, such as the World Bank, to more effectively combat poverty.

Further, the US President will praise Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his G20 leadership while he is in New Delhi. Further, he will reiterate the United States’ commitment to the G20 as the foremost forum for economic cooperation, including hosting it in 2026.

The G20’s members alternate holding the group’s president. South Africa will host it immediately after Brazil. Global leaders like Chinese President Xi Jinping, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, the UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, and France President Emmanuel Macron are also anticipated to attend the meeting. There will probably be a lot of debate about the conflict in Ukraine.

While China and Russia have objected to the mention of Ukraine at a gathering like the G20 that largely focuses on economic issues, Western nations and their allies have insisted on making it a top priority.

As per the G20 website, the culmination of all G20 processes and talks among ministers, senior officials, and civil society will take place during the 18th G20 Heads of State and Government Summit in New Delhi. At the conclusion of the New Delhi Summit, a G20 Leaders’ Declaration will be adopted, outlining the commitment of the Leaders to the priorities discussed and chosen during the relevant ministerial and working group meetings.

Since India is organising the summit this year, a majority of meetings have taken place in different cities of the country for delegates to attend. Additionally, they had enjoyed exploring cultural and historical sites like Hampi, Darjeeling and more.
