Meghalaya To Welcome Vaccinated Tourists From September 1 Onwards; Here Are The Deets

Travel enthusiasts, if Meghalaya has been on your bucket list, then now’s the chance to visit the gorgeous state. Meghalaya has reopened its borders for vaccinated tourists from September 1, 2021. All tourist attractions in the Northeastern state will reopen again. The state will permit fully vaccinated tourists and partially vaccinated ones who produce a negative RT-PCR/TrueNat/CBNAAT report tested 72 hours before arrival at the entry point. Travellers must also share itineraries and hotel details with authorities.  Local tourists who are vaccinated within the state can visit any location for tourism.

Travel Company Megh Rolls Out Meghalaya Tourism Packages

Meghalaya had earlier declared that you can go on a trip to Meghalaya at a slashed down rate. A travel company named Megh had rolled out its Vax Trip deal which was offering a ‘5 nights 6 days’ itinerary starting at just ₹19,495/person. And guess what, it included your flight fare too. You simply had to reach the Guwahati airport and the tour manager would be right there to pick you up.

Meghalaya, which literally means abode of the clouds is one of the incredible Seven Sisters in the northeastern part of India. Through the Vax Trip initiative, tourism company Megh is allowing vaccinated travellers to explore Meghalaya at a discounted rate. The deal aims to lay bare the lush greenery of Meghalaya that comes alive during the rainy months from July to September. On the first day of the trip, the tour manager will meet the tourists at the Guwahati airport and then drive through the scenic roads towards Cherrapunji.
