Wizz Air Abu Dhabi recently announced that it has achieved outstanding operational results for 2023. An airline, which is a joint venture that’s been established between the ADQ and Wizz Air Holdings PLC, it enjoyed a record-breaking year. For the year they have doubled the number of operated flights and even the passengers carried with a completion rate of a whopping 99.6%. Here is more about this!

Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, which is an ultra-low-fare national airline of the UAE recently announced a record-breaking year. With the number of operated flights and passengers carried being doubled, it was revealed that the airline operated over 15,000 flights. As a result, it carried 3 million passengers, out of which more than 1.5 million were point-to-point passengers to Abu Dhabi.

As this airline continues to play a key role in supporting innovation, resilience, and integration of Abu Dhabi Culture and Tourism sectors, this is certainly a landmark achievement. Not to mention, the airline also supports the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism’s target of reaching 24 million visitors by 2023. Supporting the emirate as a year-round tourism destination. The Airline Flies To 27 Different Countries

Moreover, the airline is also constantly developing the UAE network and it currently flies to 40 destinations that are spread across 27 different countries from Abu Dhabi. As it happens, this airline has also introduced a new segment of travel in the UAE that is in line with the country’s socio-economic vision. This is especially true with its recent expansion into Central Asia, North Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. As a result, it allows for convenient and self-connecting travel across the wider network of the airline through Abu Dhabi.

Moreover, in the year 2023, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi also added four new A321 aircraft. Taking the fleet to 12 aircraft in France, this also increased its seat capacity by 135% to 3.7 million seats on sale. Additionally, the airline has grown in headcount by 100% per cent in the same year, thereby supporting local jobs.
