Recently IndiGo came under fire for denying boarding to a disabled child and his parents. And now Air India is being slammed after a video of a woman collapsing from a panic attack after being denied boarding is making the rounds on social media. This incident happened at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi airport. Vipul Bhimani in a tweet revealed that his cousin and aunt faced technical issues during security check. So, they reached the boarding gate a minute late and had informed the authorities earlier that his aunt suffered from diabetes so she couldn’t hustle. Read on to know what happened.
Woman Gets Panic Attack After Air India Staff Deny Boarding
Vipul further revealed that he had requested Air India to help them get past security checks as his aunt had heart problems and was diabetic. Unfortunately, Air India staff denied them assistance to help them reach the boarding gate on time as they were late by 5 minutes due to his aunt’s health condition. Bhimani later claimed that Air India staff closed the gates on them despite prior intimation despite 30 minutes left for take off. Since his cousin had a final year viva exam on the same day which he missed due to the flight issue. His mother got anxious and had a panic attack. She fell on the spot.

Air India Reveals They Offered Medical Assistance
After his incident and the video went viral on social media, many flyers slammed Air India staff for their apathy. Air India took to social media to comply that they sent a doctor and CISF personnel to help the woman who had a panic attack. But by that time she felt better and refused wheelchair assistance. Air India further revealed in the statement that it had to follow regulatory procedures and couldn’t delay the flight especially since all passengers had already boarded.
