You Can Name A Cockroach After Someone You Hate This Valentine’s Day At Toronto Zoo

Every year on the 14th of January, Valentine’s Day is celebrated as the day of love. Couples give red roses, gifts, and chocolates to each other, go on dates, wear red clothes, and celebrate this day. Bored of the cliches, the Toronto Zoo has come up with a very unique idea. This Valentine’s Day, you can name a cockroach after someone you hate at the Toronto Zoo in Canada. It sounds funny, but it’s not a bad idea!

Name A Cockroach This Valentine’s Day

This upcoming Valentine’s Day, the Toronto Zoo Wildlife Conservancy is here to help you celebrate this day in a very unique way. Instead of expressing your love, you can express your anger and hatred towards someone by simply naming a cockroach after them. Whether we like it or not, we all have that one person in our lives who we can’t help but despise. So, here is the best way and time to let them know that.

Why should you frown when you can vent in a unique way? Just because it’s Valentine’s Day, don’t think only about your exes. Think beyond!  Our boss, ex-best friend, relative, or anybody else The Zoo recognised that Valentine’s Day is not the same for everyone and developed this campaign in response. You can name any cockroach for only ₹1500 and feel good about it.

These Critters Help Decompose Waste

Jokes aside! This campaign has helped pull people’s attention towards these little creatures. These critters do a lot more than scare people. They help in the decomposition of the waste in the forest. This campaign is more of a fundraiser, just like many other zoos in the United States conduct. The amount that you will pay to name a cockroach, this Valentine’s Day will be considered a donation to the zoo’s fundraising efforts.

The person who donates this amount will also receive a tax receipt, a digital graphic, and a digital copy of the certificate with the cockroach’s name. You can share this with anyone you like. All you have to do is go to the official website of the zoo and then go to ‘dedicate your donation’ and then fill in the person’s name, ‘in honour of’. You can also send an e-card to the person you have named the cockroach after.
