Zepto Delivery Boy In Delhi Loses Life In Hit And Run Case; Company Expresses Grief

A lot has been discussed among netizens about the safety of the delivery partners of companies offering instant delivery services. Companies like Zepto, BlinkIt and Swiggy Instamart deliver items to the doorstep within 10 to 15 minutes of placing the order. What concerned most people about these delivery models has been the safety of the delivery personnel on the roads. Recently, a Zepto delivery boy named Karan Raju lost his life due to a hit and run case in South Delhi.

Zepto Expresses Grief Over The Incident

Taking to social media, Zepto expressed grief over the unfortunate incident. The post by Zepto states that Karan was driving on the correct side and he was also wearing a helmet. He was returning to the Zepto centre after completing a delivery when the accident happened. Karan was taken to the Safdarjung hospital where he breathed his last.

Company Provided Financial Aid Of ₹10 Lakhs To The Family Of The Deceased

The company has also stated that it is proving immediate financial aid of ₹10 lakhs and additional insurance of ₹8 lakhs to Karan’s family. It is also helped the family with hospital and funeral expenses.
