While Amit Jain joined Shark Tank India only in season two, replacing Ashneer Grover, he soon became a fan-favourite thanks to his mantra “Pehle Banda Phir Dhanda” (First entrepreneur then company). His detail-oriented approach, focus on supporting social entrepreneurship and motto to invest in capable entrepreneurs in India won him many fans.
The Jaipur-based entrepreneur’s recent Reddit AMA session on March 26 garnered a lot of attention thanks to his witty and candid replies to questions asked by Redditors who are Shark Tank India fans. A Redditor, @jlvy asked him, “As a fellow Jaipurite – Lassiwale ki Lassi or Jalmahal ka shake?”
Amit answered, “Jalmahal ke shakes!” Jal Mahal is a 72-year-old ice cream parlour in Jaipur famous for their ice cream sundaes, sorbets, thick shakes, ice cream cakes and even ice cream pizzas. This iconic dessert spot also serves sugar-free ice creams to cater to its diabetic customers.

Jal Mahal has a wide range of shakes that come in Ferrero Rocher, mango, butterscotch, rose, saffron and other flavours. Now that Amit has recommended Jal Mahal, we can’t wait to try the shakes there!

Reveals His Favourite Sharks & “Beef” With Aman Gupta

Meanwhile, two Redditors were also curious about his friends on the Shark Tank India. The Car Dekho CEO said his favourite sharks were Lenskart’s Peyush Bansal, Inshorts’s Azhar Iqubal and OYO’s Ritesh Agarwal. Shark Tank India fans are aware of the heated arguments and snarky exchanges between Amit and Aman Gupta, co-founder and CMO of boAt Lifestyle, on the show.
So, the audience wondered if the two don’t along with each other. A Redditor asked Amit if he still has “any beef with Aman” due to “some noticeable tension” between him. The entrepreneur diplomatically answered that there is no beef as he is a vegetarian and everyone knows about it. However, when he was asked about his least favourite shark on the show, Amit replied, “Least favorite: Itna toh apko pata lag gaya hoga. ( You’d know about this).”
