For those seeking adventure, a haunted bungalow is sure to drive chills down your spine. This hill station is known to be one of the most haunted places in India. A local resident Doctor Morris used to operate a hospital from this building in the 1900s. It was one of the largest hospitals in Lohaghat district.
Locals believed Doctor Morris could predict the time of death of his patients. He was known to conduct experiments on his patients suffering from fatal diseases. There were many stories of him shifting his seriously ill patients to a special ward called ‘Mukti Kothri’ where he conducted experiments on them. Villagers of the area still believe the spirits of his patients continue to haunt the building. Many tourists walk right into the spooky mansion to capture videos and photos of the intriguing site. Over time, it has emerged as an offbeat spot for adventure seekers.
