Always dreamt of having your own restaurant? Well, you are not alone. With a sharp increase in eating out and ordering in the business of food is only rocketing upwards.
Come to think of it, starting off a restaurant is quite a tempting option!
Catering to all foodpreneurs, Taj, Tata Strive and CII have come together to provide financial, infrastructural and skill support to those who want to start eateries.
With a centre at Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh, Taj Tata Strive Entrepreneurship Programme in Cooking and Baking is spread over a span of three months. The curriculum has been designed by some of the most experienced Taj chefs.
A comprehensive view of different cuisines and provide insights on intricacies of entrepreneurship will also be covered.
From Food To Finances
At Chhindwara, Taj has set up a kitchen cum bakery especially for this programme. Besides, there are modules on essential financial literacy for running a restaurant including costing and planning.
Don The Chef’s Hat
The classroom training will be followed by two months of on-the-job training. Post which, the students will be certified by chefs from Taj through a standard practical and theory-based assessment.
Batches for Foodpreneurs
18 students, including 5 women and 2 members of the Tribal community in Chhindwara have already been trained. Soon this batch will get professional certification.
Starting next year, with the objective to bring a positive change in the lives of more foodpreneurs, Taj will train four batches comprising 20 students each.
