1. McGettigan’s

This standalone property on Sheikh Zayed Road screams boys night out with its quality pool tables, humongous TV screens showing all sorts of sports and top notch grub food that perfectly goes with the mood and ambience. Their menu boasts of a selection of juicy burgers, share plates, flatbread pizzas and a whole lot of drinks.

Level 1 of this impressive 3 storied restaurant is called The Den, a man cave of sorts which is where the pool and tv is housed. It has a sports bar feel to it and is the perfect lounge spot for men and their sporty needs.

An All American gastropub with industrial rugged interiors, exposed brickwork and a very Manhattan pub feels, Cook Hall is a bar-centric restaurant serving handcrafted cocktails and home-brewed beers, steaks, burgers, and buffalo wings. Sounds like the perfect guy hangout spot right?

What’s the deal: Every Saturday from noon until late, Cook Hall has your guy gang cure from beer pong to PS4, darts and more. You get 3 bottled beverages and 2 snacks for AED 120 during these hours.

3. Grapeskin

A trendy neighbourhood bar, Grapeskin is popular for its eclectic grape and beverage selection and cheese spread with small plates and international Tapas. This place has great music, indoor and outdoor seating options, sheesha and a knowledgeable in-house crew you would more than eagerly want to go on a journey through the vineyards without having to leave the four walls.

Cosy and casual on the inside, sleek and classy on the outside, Dusty’s is a newly found gem in DIFC. They call it a dawn till dusk homegrown concept and the establishment is said to be a blend of different traditions and cultures brought together in the form of the exotic delicacies you are served on your plate. The food skews more on the bistro side than pub grub and its almost always packed, so reservations FTW! They are rocking the culinary scene in Dubai with their specially curated genres like the Dazzle Ladies Night, The Gentlemen’s Club, Departures Brunch – a unique brunch concept designed around an Airline theme, Business Breakfast and Business Lunch for the corporate crowd around DIFC etc.

5. Cuisinero Uno

With the most expensive dish being Dhs 55, it’s a top spot for trying out a variety of Emirati, Mediterranean and Asian dishes put together by the famous Chef John Buenaventura. The plates are designed to share and the space overall has a very industrial chill vibe. Also, if you ever run out of things to do here, go take a sneak peek at their greenhouse which is used for growing the veggies you see on their plate.

When you walk in you may feel like you have stepped into the Soho apartment of an 80’s rock star with its red leather sofas and stripped wooden floorboards, and that’s just not it. Set on the 43rd floor of the Media One Hotel for obvious reasons, this sprawling floor has a bar, snooker table, private booths, a VIP area; all overlooking a fantastic view of Dubai city. Food is served in a dining room of sorts and their menu is a selection of international cuisine sharing plates mostly.
