Everything in Dubai does not come at a cost! There are a few free things to do in Dubai and trust us, they scream FUN. If you wish to save bucks and also explore the city, these five free things must absolutely be on your itinerary. From the majestic fountain show to beaches and historic spots, here are things you can do for free in Dubai.
1. Kite Beach
Think about free things to do in Dubai, and Kite Beach in Jumeirah is one of the first things you must add to your list. It provides you with a running track to basic gym equipment and a lot of options for cafes and food. Apart from all this, you could have a perfect glimpse and view of the Famous Burj Al Arab which is the only 7-star hotel in the world. Its one of the most iconic structure and one of the most instagramable posts. You can head down to umm suqeim and capture a perfect selfie or picture with this beautiful structure in your frame. 2. The Dubai Fountain
Coming next, is the world’s biggest mall- the Dubai Mall. Wondering how a mall can be on the list of free things to do in Dubai? Well, we wouldn’t suggest this as a prime shopping spot (unless you’re thinking luxury fashion). However, head here if you want to watch the famous Dubai fountain show. The world’s largest dancing fountain, the Dubai Fountain shoots up to 500 feet in the air. The fountain’s lighting was designed by WET Design, a California-based company. Over 6,600 WET lights and 25 colored projectors are used to illuminate the fountain.
3. La Mer
What’s a vacation without some sun and sand! La Mer is one of Dubai’s most gorgeous beaches and sprawls across 13.4 million square feet. The beach is divided into three zones, each replete with an impressive lineup of shops and eateries. The beach also boasts water sports, beach beds, cabanas, play areas for kids, and a trampoline park called Hawa-Hawa. So, if you want to put your feet up after a hectic day at the mall, you know where to head!
4. Riverland Dubai
Docked inside Dubai parks and resorts, Riverland is filled with iconic structures from around the world. From the India Gate, to a medieval-themed French Village, the Mahican Boardwalk, and European structures, you can spot it all under one roof. Plus, there is no entry fee. Also, enjoy the walk with your family and friends at the waterway stretch in Riverland.
5. Al Fahidi District
Dubai is not about shopping and the world’s biggest. On the list of free things to do in Dubai is the Al Fahidi district. The incredible history speaks aloud the city’s culture and heritage. If you wish to immerse in Dubai’s gorgeous past, here’s a Dubai travel guide that speaks about the city’s glorious past.
Al Fahidi Historic District: One of the last few heritage sites in this sprawling city, Al Fahidi in Bur Dubai is where time stands still. Sandstone buildings, small by lanes, wind towers (air conditions from the days of past), art galleries and museums give you a glimpse of the days without skyscrapers.
Madinat Jumeirah: Decked with an array of impressive restaurants, a petite water body, a rustic bazaar and loads of palm trees, this is where you must head if you wish to travel back in time. Curious how an Arab village might look like, this one will fulfill that wish for you!
