Dubai has always been an epitome of luxury, and people are making it more evident by visiting this city. A record entry of 7.12 million overnight tourists came to the observation of Dubai analysts. This has made Dubai one of the world’s top vacation destinations. The digits suggest there’s a 34 per cent year-over-year growth.

Visitor Count In First Quarter Of 2022

Using the most recent figures from Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism. The city welcomed 7.12 million international overnight guests between January and June 2022. This is an increase of further than 183% over the 2.52 million visitors who came during the same period in 2021.

This encouraging growth in H1 2022 puts the town on track to meet its tourism objectives for 2022. It will strengthens its status as a major global travel destination.

Dubai Represent A Massive 214% Visitor Growth

According to figures from Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), there were over 3.4 million foreign visitors in the fourth quarter of 2018. This surpassed 74% of all pre-pandemic visitor arrivals in Q4 2019.

The MENA and GCC markets were responsible for 26% of all visitors. In 2021, 22% of all visitors were from Western Europe, with the UK leading the region’s tourists, trailed by France, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands.

The country’s economy depends on tourism. To improve its skills and provide fresh development opportunities for Dubai, they are still engaging with regional and worldwide partners.

Dubai was one of the first to resume entry for travellers in June 2020. The commercial and trading centre of the Middle East. The GDP of the province grew by 6.3% during the first 9 months of 2021, according to the Dubai Statistics Centre. However, Emirates NBD predicts that Dubai’s GDP would increase by around 5.5% in 2021, up from its earlier prediction of 4%.

Hotel Occupancy In Dubai

As opposed to 80.7% in Q4 2019, hotel turnover in Q4 2021 was over 81.4 %. Compared to the 54 % reported the year before, the overall visitor numbers in 2021 increased to 67 %.

Visitors and residents of Dubai would have a total of 755 hotels to select from by the end of 2021, compared to 711 hotels with 126,947 rooms at the end of 2020.

Furthermore, visitors stayed longer in hotels throughout the emirate last year. The duration of stay rose to 4.6 nights (from 4.2 nights in 2020)
