People living in today’s world are suffering from diseases way more frequently than before. A massive reason behind this is our lifestyle and our food habits. We are so busy with our work life that most of us do not get proper time to focus on taking good care of the health and leading a healthy life. New research is showing that including salt in a meal increases the risk of losing lives by 28%. A pinch of salt can increase the risk of premature death.

Consuming Salt Can Increase Your Risk Of Dying!

A research report from the European Heart Journal states that consuming food with salt puts your life at risk and increases the chances of dying prematurely by 28%. This percentage turns out to be decreasing men’s life expectancy by 2.28 years and women’s life expectancy by 1.5 years when they are of 50 years. This research was done with over 5,00,000 people. It is true that the research resulted out to be very scary. Salt is something that is a must in most people’s every meal. And something that most of us consume all the time and it shows such terrible results is very frightening.

People who avoid intake of salt or consume in a very little quantity do not have this risk of losing their lives because of this intake. While focusing on only ‘salt’ the life expectancy of these people does not decrease.

Premature Death Is A Huge Concern!

People losing their lives at a young age can be heard way too often these days. In fact, reports say that 3 people in every 100 people in the age group of 49 to 60 years fall into the trap of premature death. If people continue adding salt to their foods and consuming it, then the number of these 3 people in 100 might increase to 4 in 100.

We do not only consume salt by adding it to our food items. When we consume any packaged and processed foods, these packets are loaded with sodium. These taste delicious but are very unhealthy for us. Also, intaking salt increases the risk of terrifying diseases such as stroke, cancer, and high blood pressure.
