AiR Atman in Ravi Got A Vision From Lord Shiva To Build The Statue
AiR Atman in Ravi does not pray to Lord Shiva, he prays through Lord Shiva! His devotion and ultimate sacrifice to embark on a life of charity is a testament that God lives inside each and every one of us. In his words, he says, “Power is inside all of us and you are God.”
The visionary behind Bengaluru’s majestic 65-ft Shiva statue, he crafted this masterpiece 30 years ago. The wonderful statue is visited and worshipped daily by thousands of devotees. When our Editor-In-Chief asked him about the inspiration behind this iconic creation, he shared, “Thirty years ago, I had a vision to build a 50-60 ft statue with the Ganga flowing from the head. It was as if the vision came to life through me.”
The philanthropist had no money, no land and no architecture, just a profound message from Lord Shiva to build the statue. He credits Lord Shiva for multiplying his business endeavours to help him expand his operations and procure land. He adds, “An illiterate architect volunteered to help me build the statue. The architect remarkably built a 65-ft statue without a map, measuring tape or drawing.” Indeed, the miracles of God are incomparable to human strength!
