It’s time to get out of your morning rut if you want to taste the crispiest kachoris, the most famous Gwalior delicacy. Even though these may have the same appearance as kachoris from any other city or business, the right and subtle amount of spice flavour of Kachoris from Gwalior makes them unique from anything else you may have previously eaten. They are often finished by noon, which is evidence of their perfection.

2. Laddoo

Who would travel to another city and eat poha? But when in Madhya Pradesh, it is a must. It is just one of numerous Maratha-era relics in Gwalior and one of the delicacies. A fantastic evening treat is a mound of flavourful snack, packed with an unconstrained splash of aloo bhujia, peanuts, onion and coriander, and a dash of lime juice to bring it all together.

4. Lambi Paani Puri

In Gwalior, lambi paani puri is the star of the show. You would think that the list ends with golgappas, pani puri, patasha, and phuchka. But it doesn’t. With a substantial amount of spiced mashed potatoes inside, and sweet imly chutney and hot water on top, these are exceptionally delicious.

5. Paneer Jalebi

This version is sweeter, denser, and thicker than jalebi as we may know it. Gwalior has the best paneer jalebi in the region. Every morning and evening, freshly strained paneer is used to make the syrup-drenched Gwalior delicacy, giving it a distinctively crispy-yet-spongy feel.
