This has been done since auto-rickshaw drivers have generated less revenue due to decreased activities. This noble initiative has come at a time when the government has declared a complete lockdown across Karnataka where the number of COVID-19 cases has risen to 51 with 2 deaths till date.

Apart from supporting their auto-rickshaw drivers, the public initiative, Three Wheels United has two other goals. The first one is to help individuals especially the elderly get access to essential services. The next goal is to help local stores make enough income.
