We know you’ve been waiting for the upcoming long weekend this entire time. However, we are afraid to inform that the rains might play spoilsport this week. Mumbai received very heavy rains and strong winds on Tuesday morning and the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has even issued an orange alert for the city. The IMD predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall for certain areas as well. As per media reports, certain areas in Andheri was submerged as well. Considering the IMD warnings and predictions, we are listing the tourist destinations which you can avoid due to the rains –

If you’re planning to travel to the following places during the week, it is like you’ll come across heavy showers. The IMD has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in certain states. And, during this time, it would be best if you check the weather predictions and plan your trip to the tourist destinations accordingly. Weather reports tell that Tamil Nadu, Coastal and South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Central Maharashtra will receive heavy to very heavy rain. Further, states like Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Assam, Saurashtra, Haryana, Telangana, Kerala too, will receive heavy rain at isolated places.

First and foremost, always check the weather before you head out. It is best you stay prepared no matter the weather – heavy rain, sun or cold.
