With an Indian licence, you cannot drive in Dubai, UAE. But can you convert your licence to a UAE driving license? What If I Belong To A Country Not Included In The List?

If you are not from one of the above countries, you will have to undergo to take the following tests at a driving school in the UAE:

• Knowledge exam • Driving exam • Yard assessment

The benefit of obtaining a driver’s licence is that applicants can take the road test right away without having to take any driving lessons.
If you have an international driving licence (which you can apply for in India), you can take on the UAE roads with an Indian licence. Please keep in mind that this law only applies to visitors on a tourist visa. If you live or do business in Dubai, this rule will not apply to you.
