The Chinese Embassy in Delhi announced the new regulations while shortening the quarantine period for inbound travellers. The passengers travelling to China will need to take only one RT-PCR test within 48 hours of boarding instead of two. Also, the passengers have to apply for Green Health Code with a negative certificate. Further, the quarantine period for international passengers with permanent Chinese addresses is five days as well as three days of home isolation. However, those with no permanent addresses require eight days of isolation. Previously the required isolation period was ten days.

Those who are transiting through a third country need not get a COVID-19 test done in the transiting country. Fortunately, the rule is no longer a concern. In addition, the certification of vaccines approved by WHO is required. Foreign Nationals can apply for Green Health Code from the Chinese Embassy or Consulates-General.
