How far can one go to grab eyeballs? An Italian couple has answered this question by going all the way to Myanmar and shot a porn movie at a Buddhist holy temple. The pair stripped naked in the middle of the day at the ancient city of Bagan, which is Myanmar’s most popular tourist destination and UNESCO World Heritage Site. The couple filmed themselves having sex and posted it on PornHub, leading to an outrage on social media.

The 23-year-old amateur Italian porn stars posted the 12-minute video on an X rated website under their profile name ‘YeeesYeeesYeees’. The duo described themselves as a 23-year old Italian couple having piercings and tattoos. The video shot at Bagan in Myanmar has been viewed around 250,000 times but 5500 dislikes and just around 2200 likes by Thursday evening local time.

Locals were furious on social media for disrespecting their heritage and culture. Mg Khin Gyi wrote on Facebook that their Bagan pagodas are ‘The Holy Land’ with multiple angry emojis. The site states that the couple have more than 81,000 subscribers and over 35 million views on their 17 videos ever since they joined 11 months ago. Their profile states that they are a fun couple, who are down to earth and are open to trying all sorts of new things. And they are here to have fun with you. The title of the video shot at the Buddhist holy shrine is ‘Don’t get offended by this huge c**shot outdoors’. The video then depicts a camera pan to show the pagoda in the background.

Myo Yee, Mandalay chairman of the Union of Myanmar Travel Association, added to this rising infuriation by stating that the case was bad news for the industry as its already hit hard by coronavirus problems.
