Did You Know Kapil Sharma Tried To Qualify For Police Department, Indian Army, And BSF?

A weekend in the Indian household is filled with hearty laughter because of Kapil Sharma. This man, who is known to tickle the funny bone, has tried his hand at many other art forms before settling for comedy. Kapil Sharma Went For Police Department, Indian Army, And BSF


Kapil’s wit and humour seem inseparable from him. But did you know he never thought of it as a career? Turns out, he really wanted to try out for Police, Army, and BSF. He ended up spending a lot of time with the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). CRPF set up a relaxation base right next to Kapil’s building, and he used to watch movies along with them.

Upon enquiring whether he wanted to get into the police force instead of comedy, he laughs and says that he got rejected by the Police Department, Indian Army, and BSF. Funnily enough, his father was a constable, and his brother is still serving in the police force and making the country proud.

Sharma Was Very Much Inclined To Singing Since Childhood

Kapil never thought to enter the world of comedy because he was a singer back in the day. During his school days, he participated in singing functions for Guru Nanak Dev Jayanti and Janmashtami. Later, this helped him grow as an artist during his theatre days in Punjab Naatshala.

We also grabbed delicious kulchas with him. A very impromptu jam session happened whilst having Kartar’s Pehalwan Kulcha which uplifted the enthusiasm to a higher level. There he revealed that the guitarist is his childhood friend and so was his driver. He remains connected to his roots and talks fondly about his hometown.

Spending half the day exploring the lanes of Amritsar and hogging on delicious food with Kapil is wholesome. On top of that, his endless jokes are just perfect. We also got to know so much more about his early days of struggle.
