With flight operations on the said route starting from mid-November onwards, there is excitement for domestic tourists already. The hill station Dharamshala will be connected to Chandigarh via flight for the very first time. This is being implemented under the Indian Government’s regional connectivity scheme. The Chandigarh-Dharamshala flight will be a big boost to the tourism industry. Reports suggest that this flight will fly on the said route from November 16th onwards. The fares have been set at ₹1700 per passenger.
Airline officials have divulged details about the flight timings. The flight from Chandigarh to Dharamshala will take off at 10 am. And the flight from Dharamshala to Chandigarh will depart at 8:30 am. Officials have also divulged that the flight will be a 70-seater routine flight.
At present, four flights are already flying from Dharamshala to Delhi. Ashwani Bamba the President of hotelier association in Dharamshala in relation to this move has said that this move will likely boost the tourism sector in this region. And he is very much hopeful that this will promote Dharamshala. If you were to go to Dharamshala by road from Chandigarh, it would usually take you more than 6 hours to reach. But now thanks to the Chandigarh-Dharamshala flight starting from mid-November onwards, it will take you much less time to reach the beautiful hill station.
