Kolkata Police is getting ready to unveil the Utsav App before Durga Puja 2022. The app will offer 360-degree virtual tours of 60 renowned pandals from across Kolkata with photos and videos. Also, enthusiastic pandal hoppers can get details of around 350 popular pujas from the app. The virtual tours will especially come to the aid of the elderly people who want a glimpse into the pandals while avoiding the overwhelming crowds.

Durga Puja 2022 will start on September 30 and will continue till October 5. The six days of the festival will be Panchami, Shashti, Saptami, Ashtami, Nabami and Dashami. As per reports, the app might also incorporate live feeds from the pandals. The app users will be able to search pandals on the app by using pandal name, pandal location, zone or complex, as revealed by the tender document.

Additionally, details about nearby restaurants, medical shops, toilets, police assistance booths, hospitals, etc. can also be fetched from the app. The app will also comprise helpline numbers of the Traffic Control Room and Police Control Room. The Utsav app will be available on both Android and iOS. Kolkata Police is planning to launch the app by September 25.
