In my over 2 years of experience as a Food Writer, not to forget the aeons of ardent passion for gastronomy, I confess to never truly enjoying a rainbow coloured dish. Whether it’s the beloved Rainbow Cake or the innovative Cotton Candy Burrito, rainbow dishes neither splashed their colours in my heart nor their distinctive flavours to my palate. That was until I tried the rainbow coloured ice cream sandwich at Misu in Bangalore.
Indulge In Rainbow-Coloured Ice Cream Sandwich At Misu In Bangalore
With two restaurants in St. Marks road and Indiranagar, Misu is well-known across Bangalore for serving exquisite Asian dishes. Famous for its baos, sushi and ramen bowls, I discovered the Pan-Asian restaurant’s best-kept secret, its Singapore-style Ice Cream sandwiches. Possessing an eternal sweet-tusk, this unique dish on the menu caught my eye. While I probably expected a scoop of ice cream sandwiched between two thin layers of biscuits, the actual dish blew my mind. The Singapore-style Ice Cream Sandwich at Misu is a beautiful rainbow-coloured dessert.

The Singapore-Style Dessert Comes In Lemongrass, Green Tea & Kaffir Lime Flavours
It comes in unique flavours of lemongrass, kaffir lime and green tea. Two thin layers of rainbow-coloured sponge cake envelop a velvety scoop of ice cream. A generous portion of two pieces of Kaffir Lime Ice Cream Sandwiches was served for ₹240. The Insta-worthy sponge cake melted in my mouth, while the smooth ice cream had a subtle yet zingy kick of kaffir lime. Together, it tasted heavenly! This rainbow dessert was light, airy and indulgent. Hands down my all-time favourite rainbow dessert that swept me off my feet with its colours and flavours.

Enjoy Exquisite Pan Asian Dishes Over A Glass Of Sangria
If you’ve come all the way to Misu, just to sample this Singapore-style rainbow-hue ice cream sandwich, why not try something else too? Well, I’d recommend their Spicy Tofu Avocado Maki, served with sides of soy and wasabi glaze. For mains, the Kung Pao Chicken gravy with Burnt Garlic Rice and Stir-Fried Vegetables with Chilli Basil Sauce, are wholesome and delicious dishes that you’d certainly thank me later for the recommendations. Pair them with a glass of intoxicating red-wine sangria and your meal shall be a memorable one like mine. Misu’s Ice Cream Sandwiches continue to be an underrated, under-reviewed dessert, and I’m fortunate to have unravelled the Bangalore restaurant’s best-kept secret!
