4 European Countries Take The First Spot As The Most Powerful Passports
Japan, Singapore, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain are tied to dominate the first rank of this prestigious world-renowned list in 2024. Passport holders of these nations can now travel to a total of 194 international places without a visa or get a visa on arrival. The recent Henley Passport Index 2024 Q1 shared all the information about the countries making it to this list and their ranks as well. The International Air Transport Association provided data to curate the list and rank the nations.
Three countries have tied in the second rank allowing their passport holders to enjoy visa-free travel to 193 foreign destinations. These countries are Finland, South Korea, and Sweden. Having the power to explore 192 foreign destinations, Austria, Denmark, Ireland, and the Netherlands are tied for the third rank.
5 nations have tied for the fourth position with visa-free access to 191 places, according to the Henley Passport Index. The list has Belgium, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, and the United Kingdom in the fourth rank. On the fifth rank, there are Greece, Malta, and Switzerland.

What Is India’s Position On This List?
With visa-free access to 62 destinations, India is standing at the 80th rank on the Henley Passport Index 2024. Citizens of India can visit famous global destinations such as Indonesia, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, and Thailand among other places without a visa. Along with India, Uzbekistan is also ranked 80th this year.
