The ‘Travel Now, Travel Free’ campaign is to promote domestic travel within the country. According to Thapanee Kiatphaibool, deputy governor for the Tourism Authority Of Thailand, the number of local trips and one-day trips has declined severely. This fair will help increase the demand for local travel, and the occupancy rates will even out at fifty percent. As December is a month of holidays, an increase in local tourism is expected. This fair will surely attract travellers. Each province has lined up certain attractions and entertainment for these tourists.
