Hotel washrooms are the highlight of any hotel room because of the luxury they provide. As you enter the hotel washroom, beautiful lighting illuminates the place and you feel a breath of fresh air. And not to miss on the variety of toiletries kept for you to use. But, are all of them hygienic? We often think about it at least once, but eventually, we use them. The fact is, irrespective of the luxury, washrooms are filled with germs and here is a low-down of five dirtiest things you should never touch in a hotel washroom.

1. Comb/Brush

Although we carry our own comb always but while in a hotel room we end up using the hair comb they provide. We can very well figure out from other bathroom essentials, like what is used and what is not. But how can you tell that comb-wrapped plastic polythene is brand new? It could be possible that other guests have also used the same hair comb. Also, do not touch these dirtiest items in your hotel room.

2. Hair Dryers

We might not use hair driers on a daily basis, but when in the hotel, we surely use them. Well, the hotel staff don’t clean the electronic gadgets on a regular basis. Hair dryers may have fluff or dandruff on them, which may get into your hair when used.

3. Glasses

If you’ve noticed,  the sink glasses are kept along with the toothbrush and toothpaste. Never-ever use them. Nobody knows when they were washed last.

Whether you’re a hygiene buff or not, don’t use the towels stored on the bathroom shelf.  Many hotels don’t even wash them, they just let them dry to retain germs.

Be careful before touching bathroom counters, especially the sink. According to a study, yeast, gram-positive cocci, and gram-positive cocci type 2 were found on the bathroom counters of the three-star hotel they tested.
