Google is adding new tools in its search engine to help people make post-vaccination travel plans better. In other words, if someone looks up on Google for flights, hotels and things to do, the Search will also show COVID-19 travel advisories, like quarantine requirement and vaccination proof requirement for a particular destination. Google.com/travel has tools like Explore, Things to do, Flights, Hotels and Vacation Rentals. Recently, the tech giant has noticed an increase in the search for travel-related queries like ‘travel restrictions by country’, ‘travel advisories’ and ‘trip cancellation policies’. Therefore, it is adding new tools to help users find the information faster.

Google Travel Will Show COVID-19 Related Travel Advisories And Restrictions For Searched Destinations
A blog post by Google states, “When you search on Google for information like flights, hotels, or things to do you’ll start seeing COVID-19 related travel advisories or restrictions for your destination, with links to relevant information from your country’s travel authority when possible. This information will appear on the search results page, at the top of google.com/travel, and in Google Maps when you search for hotels.” Google Maps Has A Cool New Feature To Guide You Inside A Mall Or Airport
“In response to COVID-19, many airlines have adjusted change fee and cancellation policies. When you search on Google for flights with a specific airline or go to Google Flights, we’ll direct you to our Help Center article with more information on airline policies. These policies may change, so be sure to click through to the airline’s website for the latest information.”, states the blog.
Users Can Receive Updates About Lifting And Addition Of New Restrictions
Users can also choose to receive updates about the lifting of restrictions or the addition of new destinations for a particular place. Additionally, Google has stated that Maps on Desktop will now show various places where travellers can take halt during their journeys such as hotels, campgrounds, parks and rest stops.

The Map will display these stops, and users can select a particular spot to be included in their journey. They can receive these directions on their smartphones as well.
