Google Maps Now Has A New Feature To Show Summary Of Your Past Vacations

Google Maps is in itself, an outstanding invention. We are living in a world where we can’t imagine our lives without Google Maps. We told you how Google recently added a COVID-19 layer in Maps that allows us to get information on the COVID-19 cases in a particular area. And now there is a new feature in the timeline on android that will show us a summary of our past vacations and total kilometres travelled. So if you cannot recall the name of that cafe you have been to in Paris, the map will now come handy.

The Feature Will Allow You To Share Your Trip Itineraries

The timeline will not only allow you to see the paths you took but will also display photos. So now you can share your trip itineraries, including hotels and restaurants with your friends. You simply have to tap on the Trips tab on the desktop site, google.com/travel and you will receive a confirmation on your gmail. The Trips tab in the Timeline on Google Maps will show the routes of the places you have been to based on your history. Here are 10 Google Maps Tricks To Make Your Travel More Efficient

You Can See Your Photos From Your Travel History

Along with the kilometres travelled, Google will also display the modes of transportation you used through the tab. You can edit your timeline and delete your location history. Google would be rolling out the timeline on the Google Photos map view as well. This will enable you to see your photos, including pictures you clicked while dining or driving. You will also have the option to hide your timeline from your map view’s settings in Photos.  Here are 10 Of The Strangest Places In The World You Can Only Visit on Google Maps.

On the map view, you will soon be able to see how busy a location is. Can things get any better?
