After getting all the permissions and requirements in order. BLADE India has announced that services will start among the three cities by mid-October. The chopper service will be accessible six days a week from Monday to Saturday and each helicopter will be able to carry 5 passengers per trip. The best part is that it will be fully-functioning even when the chopper isn’t full because they are scheduled flights. The seats on the helicopter will be available on a by-the-seat basis, which means that you can’t charter the entire helicopter for yourself. Even though BLADE hasn’t revealed the prices for the chopper service yet, their Managing Director has said that the pricing will be dynamic.

In other news, BLADE might even start inter-city transfers, which means that you’ll be able to travel to and fro within the city of Mumbai soon as well. The helicopter service comes as a welcome change for frequent travellers between Mumbai and Pune and might hopefully help in decreasing the traffic between the two cities on a daily basis.

As of now, the helicopters will be taking off from the Mahalaxmi Race Course in Mumbai and going up to Mundhwa in Pune and Chaitanyapur in Shirdi. Time to buckle up!
