Pune’s Hinjewadi To Get A Swanky Bus Stand With A Range Of Facilities
The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has started an independent ‘Design Studio’ to beautiful and upgrade bus stands. According to the Hindustan Times, initially, the Design Studio upgraded the Deccan Gymkhana bus stand. Now, Hinjewadi is next on the list. The organization will give it a modern makeover including fitting an e-charging point, swanky signage boards, CNG filling station and other passenger facilities.

Rajendra Jagtap, PMPML chairman and managing director (CMD) stated to the Hindustan Times, ” There are many IT and industrial companies in Hinjewadi and daily thousands of people come here for work. So for their benefit, as an easy mode of transport and also to increase our revenue, the current temporary bus stand at the spot will be developed.” The temporary bus stand will be developed with modern facilities. Hinjewadi is an area mostly frequented by IT employees. Once work resumes to normalcy more employee will travel by buses. So keeping this in mind, the bus stand will get a modern makeover.
