“Sankat Mochan” means the one who eradicates pain, sorrow and suffering. The 108-feet tall Sankat Mochan Hanuman in Delhi’s Karol Bagh is one of the most famous statues in India. This is nestled in Sankat Mochan Hanuman Mandir, one of the oldest temples in the country, built by Maharaja Jai Singh in 1724.
