India-UAE Bubble Flights Extended Until 31 October; Bookings Open For Flights From Mumbai & Delhi

UAE and India are helping citizens get home under the Vande Bharat Mission, which was launched by the Indian government amid the covid-19 pandemic. The bilateral arrangement on air bubble flights between both the countries was due to end on September 30. However, both countries have now agreed to extend the India-UAE bubble Flights. The ‘air bubble’ flights between the UAE and India are now made available till October end.

The India-UAE Flights Will Now Be Valid Till October 31

“India-UAE air bubble will now be valid till October 31,” the spokesperson for India’s civil aviation ministry said.

On the same, officials from many Indian airlines said that they would carry more or less the same flight schedule to the UAE for the next month. A senior Air India Express official said,

“We have scheduled about 230 or so flights to Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi from various cities across India for September and will be carrying in with this schedule for October as well.”

Vistara, IndiGo And SpiceJet Are Also Operating Bubble Flights In The UAE

Vistara will also continue with their current flight schedules to Dubai for next month. The bookings for the same will be open until October 24. The airline said, they don’t have a schedule for other Indian states, but are providing charter services to the UAE.

Apart from Vistara and Air India Express, IndiGo and SpiceJet are also operating bubble flights to some cities in the UAE. The schedule will be announced until October 24. Post that, the airlines will switch over to the winter schedule from the following day. In terms of the winter schedule, Airlines can only announce the schedule once they get approval from the aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

The Bubble flights from India have been extended to the UAE. However, we will still have no word on whether last week’s decision by Saudi Arabia to ban flights from India, Brazil and Argentina will be revoked any time soon.

On this Airline industry said that since the ban is a bilateral issue. So only a government-to-government talk can change the situation.
