Gaddar star Sunny Deol is known to have a soft corner for North Indian food. His recent visit to the 70-year-old Giani Tea Stall in Amritsar proves just that. Sunny Deol, a well-known foodie, was recently in Amritsar, where he indulged in the city’s famous street food at one of its most iconic spots. It’s a well-known fact that a trip to Amritsar is incomplete without visiting the Golden Temple and trying the city’s delicious local dishes like Chole Kulche, Bun Choley, Lassi, and a comforting cup of creamy chai from Giani Tea Stall.

That’s exactly what was on Sunny Deol’s agenda, who shared a video of himself sipping chai and munching on samosas at the legendary tea shop. In the video, captioned “Stay Healthy EAT Healthy Ha HA”, he can be heard saying, “Giani di chaa pi reya” (I’m having tea at Giani). Apart from chai, the actor also enjoyed paneer pakoras and samosas.

He even revealed that he doesn’t like having samosas with chutney, saying, “Samose da phir swaad chala jaanda hai.” (Samosa loses its taste with chutney.) And honestly, we couldn’t agree more!

The Border actor is often known for his love for Punjabi food, especially paranthas, lassi, samosas, pakoras and more. Apart from desi food, he also enjoys western dishes like pizza, especially with his father, the legendary Dharmendra. He often shares glimpses of his food moments on Instagram, too.

All About This Iconic Celebrity Hotspot 

Coming to Giani Tea Stall,  it’s one of the oldest and most nostalgic tea shops in Amritsar. Apart from chai and pakoras, they also serve kachoris and their famous omelettes. The stall is about 70 years old and is located on Cooper Road. It opens as early as 4:30 am and runs till 8:30 pm daily. 

Over the years, this legendary tea stall has been visited by several celebrities, including Ranbir Kapoor and Navjot Singh Sidhu. It’s also a buzzing spot for food vloggers who can often be seen filming their content for Instagram at the tea stall.
