Sunny Deol Enjoys Amritsari Street Food At The Iconic Giani Tea Stall

Sunny Deol, a well-known foodie, was recently in Amritsar, where he indulged in the cityโs famous street food at one of its most iconic spots. Itโs a well-known fact that a trip to Amritsar is incomplete without visiting the Golden Temple and trying the cityโs delicious local dishes like Chole Kulche, Bun Choley, Lassi, and a comforting cup of creamy chai from Giani Tea Stall.
Thatโs exactly what was on Sunny Deol’s agenda, who shared a video of himself sipping chai and munching on samosas at the legendary tea shop. In the video, captioned “Stay Healthy EAT Healthy Ha HAโ, he can be heard saying, โGiani di chaa pi reyaโ (Iโm having tea at Giani). Apart from chai, the actor also enjoyed paneer pakoras and samosas.
He even revealed that he doesnโt like having samosas with chutney, saying, โSamose da phir swaad chala jaanda hai.โ (Samosa loses its taste with chutney.) And honestly, we couldnโt agree more!
The Borderย actor is often known for his love for Punjabi food, especially paranthas, lassi, samosas, pakoras and more. Apart from desi food, he also enjoys western dishes like pizza, especially with his father, the legendary Dharmendra. He often shares glimpses of his food moments on Instagram, too.

Coming to Giani Tea Stall,ย itโs one of the oldest and most nostalgic tea shops in Amritsar. Apart from chai and pakoras, they also serve kachoris and their famous omelettes. The stall is about 70 years old and is located on Cooper Road. It opens as early as 4:30 am and runs till 8:30 pm daily.ย
Over the years, this legendary tea stall has been visited by several celebrities, including Ranbir Kapoor and Navjot Singh Sidhu. Itโs also a buzzing spot for food vloggers who can often be seen filming their content for Instagram at the tea stall.ย
