Worli has long been one of Mumbai’s premium real estate destinations, thanks to its central location and proximity to major commercial districts. However, persistent traffic congestion and road bottlenecks have often made commuting to and from the neighbourhood challenging. Despite its premium appeal, the time spent navigating busy roads has remained a concern for residents and commercial occupiers alike. That could change as major infrastructure projects reshape Mumbai’s transport network. Scroll down to learn more.
Metro 3 And Coastal Road To Boost Access To Worli Naka
According to reports by Free Press Journal, Worli Naka is emerging as a key junction, with three significant projects converging within roughly two kilometres: Mumbai Metro Line 3, the Mumbai Coastal Road and the Sewri-Worli Elevated Connector. Together, these developments are expected to improve connectivity across South Mumbai, the western suburbs and Navi Mumbai.
Mumbai Metro Line 3, the city’s first fully underground metro corridor, connects South Mumbai with SEEPZ, passing through important business districts, including Worli and the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC). The corridor provides an alternative to road travel for commuters accessing offices and other destinations along its route.

The Mumbai Coastal Road has added another important link to the city’s transport network. Connecting Marine Drive to Worli, the road integrates with the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, offering motorists an alternative to some of the city’s congested routes. These connections could make travel across key parts of Mumbai more convenient and strengthen Worli’s position as a residential and commercial hub.
Sewri-Worli Connector Could Enhance Real Estate Appeal
The Sewri-Worli Elevated Connector is expected to open in early 2027 and will link with the Atal Setu, improving access between Worli and Navi Mumbai. The connection is also expected to make travel to the Navi Mumbai International Airport more convenient, further expanding Worli’s regional connectivity. The convergence of these projects could influence how residents, businesses and investors view the neighbourhood. Better access to business districts, road networks and transport links may add to Worli’s appeal, although the long-term impact on property values will depend on several factors.
