Malaysia has finally dropped all travel restrictions for both vaccinated and unvaccinated travellers. Malaysia had earlier banned foreign arrival and those entering from within the country had to quarantine. In an amazing development, Malaysia reopened its international borders from April 1, 2022. Travellers wiil no longer need to quarantine. However, travellers will need to take an RT-PCR test 2 days before departure and a professional Rapid Test Kit-Antigen test within 24 hours after arriving in Malaysia. Testing Rules In Malaysia

  • You must show an RT-PCR negative report 
  • Undergo a professionally administered RTK-Ag test within 24 hours after arrival
  • Download and activate the MySejahtera app and complete the pre-departure form.
  • Unvaccinated travellers must undergo five-day quarantine upon arrival in Malaysia.
  •  COVID-19 travel insurance is mandatory.

  • If you are visiting Malaysia for a maximum of 15 days, you can apply for an eNTRI visa online. 
  • If you wish to stay for more than 15 days, you can apply for the eVisa here

Indonesia Welcomes Fully Vaccinated Indian Travellers

Travel enthusiasts, you can now visit the postcard-like paddy fields of Bali, architecture marvels of Indonesia unhesitatingly. If long Covid-19 quarantine periods, held you back from making extensive travel plans to Indonesia, then here’s good news. Indonesia is lifting all quarantine requirements for international tourists after a hiatus of two long years.  However,  tourists will still be required to provide a negative PCR test before entering the nation. All previous rules continue to apply, as the health insurance coverage of at least US$100,000 (₹74,59,050 ), entry through Bali and Riau Islands and quarantine payment at the visitor’s own expense.

Japan Announces 3-Day Quarantine Period For Indian Business Travellers

Similar to Indonesia, Japan has also shortened the quarantine period for fully vaccinated Indian business travellers from 10 days to just 2 days. This updated travel guideline will come into effect by November 8, tentatively. The government shall reduce the quarantine time for vaccinated foreign nationals arriving in Japan for business trips, technical training and those studying abroad to just 3 days.
