Recently, Ahmedabad became home to ITC Hotels’ premium luxury ITC Narmada. ITC’s 12th property in Gujarat and 15th luxury collection hotel in India is a beautiful ode to Gujarat’s culture and heritage. ITC Narmada is Gujarat’s first LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum certified hotel. The luxury hotel simply celebrates the spirit of Gujarat as every bit of it is inspired by Gujarat’s art, culture and heritage. 

Interiors At ITC Narmada Are Inspired By Gujarat’s Monuments And Crafts

ITC Narmada features about 28 suites out of 291 city view rooms. The 5,900 sq ft suite bearing Narmada River’s name raises the bar for luxury living with its opulent dining room, living room, enormous walk-in closet, and bathroom. The hotel’s interiors are artistically inspired by the monuments and heritage around Gujarat. ITC Narmada’s lobby was influenced by the Adalaj Stepwell in the fifteenth century. The Sidi Saiyyed Mosque served as inspiration for the lattice work on the hotel’s exterior.The mirror work from Kutch is used in the artwork. The fabrics with patterns are inspired by Ajrakhpur and Patan’s ajrakh and patola cultures. The rooftop pool with city views simply will take your breath away.

The Food Too Has Gujarat’s Local Touches

How can food escape the local touch as ITC Narmada is inspired by Gujarat. Restaurant Peshawari at ITC serves cuisine from the North-West Frontier and Dal Bukhara is a must at ITC. Traditional favorites like dhokla, jalebi, thepla, and fafda are served at Adalaj Pavilion with breakfast mainstays like pancakes and eggs. A silver thali filled with dishes from the royal kitchens of India are served to you at Royal Vega. Although the hotel does not offer alcohol, a variety of mocktails are available, including a virgin Bloody Mary with truffle oil. The chairman of ITC, Sanjiv Puri, is quite confident that the world-class ITC Narmada will significantly enhance Gujarat’s thriving tourism industry.
