The coronavirus pandemic has somewhere brought the best out of humanity. People from across the country are coming together to help each other, especially street food vendors who need help to earn a living. Many street food vendors from Faridabad, Kerala, Agra other cities, took to social media to create awareness about their plight. Good samaritans visited their stalls and even donated money to help them breeze through these tough times. And now, a 70-year old woman from Jalandhar, Punjab needs our help. This street vendor sells homecooked food at Jalandhar’s Phagwara Gate market. Singer and actor, Diljit Dosanjh, shared her story on social media and urged everyone to help her.

Diljit Dosanjh Shares Jalandhar Street Vendor’s Story

70-year-old Bebe from Jalandhar in Punjab has a small roadside stall at Phagwara Gate market. She prepares homecooked food like dal, sabzi and parathas. Recently, her video went viral where she drew attention to her personal journey amid this pandemic. Celebrity, Diljit Dosanjh shared her video online. In that video, she said that she spoke about how she prepares her food. Known, as Bebe Ji she explains that her food is reasonably priced compared to restaurants. Bebe Ji calmly explains how she started working after her husband’s death to take care of her children and make ends meet.
