Kerala’s New Agriculture Tourism Network Will Let You Stay In 5000 Gorgeous Homestay Farms

As part of the Responsible Tourism project, Kerala has launched the Kerala Agri Tourism Network-Farm Tourism to benefit farming activities and the agricultural community of the state via tourism. The initiative will assist local communities and will also help in tackling unemployment problems. The authorities will develop around 500 farm tourism units and 5,000 homestay farms under this initiative by March 31, 2023. The initiative aims at combining tourism and agriculture activities by adopting eco-friendly measures.

Kerala Launches Training Programme To Develop Farm Tourism

Apart from launching the Kerala Agri Tourism Network-Farm Tourism, Kerala Tourism Minister P A Mohamed Riyas has also launched a state-level training programme for strengthening farm tourism, which in turn will add an impetus to the tourism sector in the post-pandemic phase. To achieve the goals, Kerala Tourism will work by collaborating with local self-government institutions.

Introducing Kerala’s Farm Culture To International Tourists

To create the Agri Tourism Network, the initiative is considering traditional agricultural practices of the state. The initiative will also introduce the farming culture of Kerala to international tourists as well as the new generation. The Agri Tourism will operate on the basis of the declaration of the World Tourism Organization to ensure a future of responsible tourism. Authorities have also planned to launch an app and organise local fairs to promote the initiative. Kerala Tourism Has Also Launched A Mobile App To Help Tourists Explore Hidden Gems.
