Lara Dutta revealed to Curly Tales that biryani is her favourite food. In fact, it’s the one dish she missed the most when she stayed in New York as Miss Universe. The actress shared that when she flew from New York to Indonesia as Miss Universe, she had a layover in India. The biryani lover, made her friends carry a handi of fresh, hot biryani to the airport in India. The Miss Universe sat incognito and relished her handi of biryani. In another hilarious incident, she asked her friend to smuggle a frozen handi of biryani in a suitcase to New York.

Lara Dutta chatted that she and her husband, Mahesh Bhupati are polar opposites of each other. But they’re a good sort of a fit, as in her words, she can talk and he can listen. New York is one of their most favourite cities in the world, as they both lived there at the same time, even when they didn’t know each other. Lara Dutta is an adventure junkie who has gone bungee jumping, skiing and white water rafting. Interestingly, she says Mahesh Bhupati unlike her, is a 5-star snob who loves to check in to a luxurious hotel, sit in his AC room and look out at the sun. His idea of a holiday is to do nothing. While her holiday preference involves exploring a city on foot.
